Find my great and new radio chronicle : “fake news and history of art”, podcasts would be broadcast with take it radio for the nights of reading (edition ten) organised with the center national of the book.Programm.

Take It Radio is an intergenerational web radio station, some of whose segments are aimed at young people in the Pyrénées-Orientales (P.O.) and cultural stakeholders. Its online presence is organized by the Fédération Départementale des Foyers Ruraux 66.

Suggestion of the end of the year

It was a pleasure to share a book on November 20th at the Le Presse Papier bookstore’s book club. For this event, I chose to present “Women Also Made History” by Titiou Lecoq.

This book recounts the epic story of women chronologically throughout history, rectifying facts.

During this presentation, the readers present suggested two other books: one was *L’inconnue du portrait* by Camille Perretti, and the other was *Le cantique du chaos* by Mathieu Belezi, a dystopian novel. The bookseller made slightly different choices, which I also invite you to discover.

Cultural openness

On June 10, the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Nostre Mar festival took place. A festival wishing to bring people together so as not to spread anti-LGBT hatred, racism and anti-semitism.

I listened to the first part devoted to a conference by the historian Marie-Anne Matard-Bonucci on the theme “fascism and anti-semitism” as well as the second part which was called “entre-là” and which was devoted to music.

It was an intense moment of reflection and exchange.

The memorial also has very interesting books.

Truth and historical fiction

As an author, it is logical to ask questions about writing such as: if I write historical fiction must it necessarily respect a historical background?
It is often by approaching a definition that the solution appears. A historical fiction is above all a literary work and unlike a book written by a historian whose objective would be to relate the facts with the greatest accuracy, taking liberties with the text is part of the artistic process. It is up to everyone to situate themselves according to their personnality, more or less close to what we could consider as historical reality.
Sometime ago, I read an interesting article about the new film adaptation of The 3 Musketeers (A. Dumas) after seeing the film. And that made me think. It is obvious that the author imagined many facts on a historical background but at no time did the novelist position himself as a specialist but more as an enthusiast who made his characters live adventures. And this, whether he worked alone or in a group. I think as an author, writing historical fiction is different from writing historical essays.
