This afternoon, I read aloud to a young man an article from the feminist revolutions review La Déferlante. The article tells the exile and oppression experienced by Bushra Alzoubi and how she returned to Syria to visit her sister, from whom she had lost contact. This article, along with photos, can be found in issue 21, page 26, from February.

Women’s Rights and Artists International Day 2026

For the On International Women’s Day, I left a few words in an envelope at a photo exhibition dedicated to the artist Marilyn Monroe at the Saint Cyprien collections. Each participant was invited to compose few verses for this very important day; here are the few lines I wrote :

For everyone, my body, my choice is one of the battles you fought so hard for. For all the victories and obstacles encountered, I encourage you in all your progress.

Photos depicting Marilyn Monroe alone and at a meeting with her business partners, as she also held shares in companies related to the film industry. She was an actress who wrote scripts and planned for her financial future.

Here is some information regarding the science fiction competition for which I was a jury member last summer. You can find the collection of short stories on the organizer’s website anticiporg and read an article about it on the mediapart website. Congratulations again to all the participants.

It was a wonderful day at the Ponteilla-Nyls library. I presented my new book, Esperança, exclusively. It exists in two versions, one in French and one in English. This play is set in a historical context. During the discussion, I outlined the steps I had taken, from inspiration to research and then to writing. A member of the audience read an excerpt for the 10th annual Nights of Reading. Esperança will be published very soon, and several copies have already been pre-ordered.

Find my great and new radio chronicle : “fake news and history of art”, podcasts would be broadcast with take it radio for the nights of reading (edition ten) organised with the center national of the book.Programm.

Take It Radio is an intergenerational web radio station, some of whose segments are aimed at young people in the Pyrénées-Orientales (P.O.) and cultural stakeholders. Its online presence is organized by the Fédération Départementale des Foyers Ruraux 66.

For a few handfull of dollars

This year for the holidays I will be with my family and this week I played a board game with relatives, a game that my brother had given me the year Fantastic L.A. was published, on this occasion I borrowed a CD from the public library of Thuir, music from crime dramas for inspiration. This was the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to my book and move on to my next project, which isn’t a thriller this time…stay tuned 🙂

Suggestion of the end of the year

It was a pleasure to share a book on November 20th at the Le Presse Papier bookstore’s book club. For this event, I chose to present “Women Also Made History” by Titiou Lecoq.

This book recounts the epic story of women chronologically throughout history, rectifying facts.

During this presentation, the readers present suggested two other books: one was *L’inconnue du portrait* by Camille Perretti, and the other was *Le cantique du chaos* by Mathieu Belezi, a dystopian novel. The bookseller made slightly different choices, which I also invite you to discover.

Culture as a bulwark against obscurantism

In a previous article, I mentioned a survey by the National Book Center concerning reading in 2025, which complements the information and knowledge that I learned during this conference organized by occitanie culture (occitanie livre). During the web conference on illiteracy and illiteracy that I attended, I asked myself several questions about the socio-economic consequences, dropping out of school seems to me to be one of them.
